Paul, I hope you're not complaining. You know well that these are the demands and responsibilities imposed on greatness. But if you lead us down to 1.50 and beyond again there ain't gonna be 8 on the thread--you will be doing a soliloquy in an empty house even if you are the ee cummings of andrographis paniculata.

I am thinking of nominating Art Koch Jr for President and CEO. Did you notice he has worked for IBAH which is involved in outsourcing to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, and he has also worked for a food distribution firm? This seems like the right combination for the unique demands of prln. Also, my impression from telephone converstations is that he is a very decent person.

Here is everything I can sum up about the cocktail angle. Androvir increased the efficacy of AZT in inhibiting replication of the AIDS virus in an in vitro study. In addition, through their CRADA, prln and NIH have developed an improved system for identification of signal transduction pathways used by HIV-1 virus to kill t cells and this may bring into focus a new model for the AIDS virus. Also, from this prln has identified several additional natural compounds which might be used with Androvir to form a cocktail with the hope of developing something which will block the incredible facility of the AIDS virus to mutate around anything thrown at it so far. (See new release of 8/22/96) We have to minimize the chance of this latter event. On one hand, however, all the compounds under consideration have many fewer side effects then current treatments. On the other hand, all of this work seems to have been in vitro and not in vivo. (I think it was Ike who only trusted one handed economists.) The most significant thing probably is that there are now several other identified compounds from the TCMs that may be useful to bring into action.
