You know....EXCESSIVE Just like we were going to ban EXCESSIVE speculation which we all knew was responsible for driving crude to $140.

Thank your lucky stars that when it came to the banks, we skipped the excessive stage and went directly to an outright ban on short selling. My banks shorts have near settled back down to where they were before the ban - especially COF whose credit card loan portfolio increasingly smells and looks like a mound of subprime mortgages originated in 2005.
