I have posted plenty of new technologies that are in the pipeline that could eventually replace lithium. The key word is could. It seems to me you lose sight of the fact you're talking about things that might happen or might not. Predicting technological development isn't a science. Counting on scientific advances that haven't occurred yet involves taking risk. Recognizing that isn't a matter of "betting against progress".
