In their infinite wisdom, the foreign film critics gave best actor and best supporting actor in a dramatic series to the actors who played Dexter and The Trinity Killer but they gave best drama to MadMen. A very fair split.

I re-watched Revolutionary Road on HBO last night and was struck again with what a good film it is. It’s a bit overwrought in places but the script and acting were great, and in that it was about things like trying to balance one’s dreams and responsibilities, marriage and career and parenthood and disappointment and compromise and loss of love, it was all things I could relate to far better than, say, being a part of a plot to kill Hitler.

I also saw In The Loop and found it very funny.
