Youngang,
I believe Jerry did the right thing. Jerry needs top 1 and top 2 PC makers to endorse the quality of AMD's CPU. From long term view, this strategy will help AMD's salesmen to sell CPUs to other PC makers, especially in China and Taiwan. Those PC makers just ask, "Who use your CPUs? and What the lowest price is?". If those conditions are satisfied, they have no doubt to use AMD's CPUs. I believe the AMD's CPU will sell like a hot cakes in a competition lower price. What we need to worry is AMD's yield problem. If the problem is solved(I believe AMD can solve), you will see a good future of your investment. Forget the price that AMD gave to CPQ, and you just think it is for advertisement. From today's AMD's stock price movement, I believe Wall Street will tolerate, even AMD warned twice.

Best wishes

James
