Kerry stumbled and had a great fall over that 'joke' and their aint no putting it back together again. He didn't write the joke and he obviously didn't get it (what the writer intended) when he delivered the joke. It was obvious because he couldn't recover gracefully in the immediate setting. You could see him pondering ...'Do I think it's dumb to go to Iraq?' ... 'Do I think dumb people end up in Iraq?' ... 'Do I think when you blow it in school you will get stuck going to Iraq, which is dumb?' 'What about successful people who enlist to go to Iraq, are they dumb?' ... wtf is up with this joke writer anyway??? .... next day AHHHH, now I get it... too late.
