Joe, can you tell me how many new net jobs were created during the Bush years?

There were 132,469,000 jobs in existence when G. W. Bush took office. When he left office the number was 133,563,000 for a net increase of 1,094,000. The number of jobs in the end of July 2011 was 131,190,000. This results in a net loss of 2,373,000 jobs since he left office.
