Allow my "jump in". Silver used in CRT's, correct? at place I worked which repaired monitors, was told of company in Nevada (they were buying ours) was buying & holding all the CRT's they could get for future rec. of silver. I understood price breakeven point for silver to be about $10.90 US.

Many of most expensive IC's are still bonded with gold wire. very-very
small useage,but you are right, 1 billion X (not one million) is a lot!
