Can someone give me a good reason why this company is already public?

I've seen many a public company without earnings, although even this is a fairly recent phenomena. However, this could be my first run in with a public company with no sales. Why didn't they chose to stay private until they had grown the business a bit more??? I would think that the payoff would have been much better for them if they had?
