Wierdnuz: . . . Singer decided to deal with his tension by loading a backpack full of spray paint . . . he had written graffiti all over 31 walls, windows, and automobiles.

Good thing he didn't do that over in Singapore. I expect that the resulting caneing would have given him a new way of dealing with his tension for sure.
