AnalogX cookie program...
I downloaded this program. The file is about 250k, so it gets here speedily enough. It is an executable, and running it brings forth an easy to follow installation program. Once you give the OK, it's done in less than a second. It writes a handful of files to its own (created) directory.
Executing it, you get an icon in SysTray. Click this icon and you choose how the program works. It seems easy and efficient. You can have it start with your system.
The program comes with an un-installer accessible from the Start Menu. Choosing this, the program erases its own files from your disk, almost. The choices you make are stored on disk, and this data, plus the folders containing them remain. Two AnalogX registry keys remain also, but are easy enough to delete manually.
I'd say this is a useful program which serves a need. As cookies enjoy a population explosion on most people's disks, they need management somehow. This program provides a handy way of accomplishing this.
Cheers, PW.
P.S. I don't work for, have any equity in, or know, the creators of this program. I'm just sharing my experience with using it so the next person will know what to expect. These opinions are my own, and have been formed after drinking altogether too much coffee. |
