Back in the 1970s I worked for the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont as a computer operator. Ran the mainframe IBM 360 on the weekends.

Back in the last century, during the 70s, I worked for a company that had a computer room the size of a warehouse, which housed a Dec 10 and another one with an IBM 360. Then I worked for a company that had a small building that was a Univac computer. At the time, I was amazed at what they could do, even though it took what would seem like forever today to communicate with them, they were still faster and gave better output than the slide rule or typewriter.
