Dylan, off topic
I was actually happy with the repairs of this PB till now, because they have always turned it around same day, and I was only without it for three days each time. But the last time it came back when they replaced the motherboard, they'd diddled with the software to test it, and all my extensions were turned off and I had to spend a lot of time putting things back where they belonged. I forgave all that, thinking I'd rather have it back sooner than have them fool with my software any more than they had. I knew they were probably testing to be sure the problems were hardware problems.
Now I realize they had to have put in the wrong motherboard on March 9th, and that is probably why it blew up on April 9th. They have an incredible nerve to blame me for their mistake. No one would buy a G3/250 PB and a 3400c/240 PB and swap the innerds between, them and then send the hybrid back to Apple for repair. That's too senseless and stupid. I am not sure I'll ever forgive them for this, and I've forgiven a lot as a developer and Apple Partner.
Many have been pushing me to buy a PC, and since I can't seem to get working Level II quotes on a Mac, I may finally buy a PC as my next purchase. Apple can't have it both ways: they can't be "smiling face" startup and then screw me as a consumer. At least with the PC you don't expect them to be human or humane.
