Why Trump Loves Tom Cotton So Much
But, according to aides, something more superficial is also driving President Trump’s affection for the Republican senator. Trump likes how Cotton handles himself on the Sunday shows.
“ respects [Cotton] on policy, he loves his advice, and he loves him on TV,” a senior White House official told The Daily Beast.
According to sources close to the president, Trump enjoys watching how Cotton handles himself in TV interviews and in dealing with the press more generally. And though those assets aren’t particularly valuable for a prospective CIA director, they do carry incredible weight in how Trump evaluates his political peers and potential allies.

Fox now reporting KT McFarland was the one who told Flynn to discuss the Obama admin's Russia sanctions with Kislyak. Back in February, no one seemed to understand why the WH was willing to risk so much to keep her on.

KT McFarland’s recent foreign policy bona fides consisted of being a Fox News talking head. She wasn’t calling the shots, and certainly not giving her own orders to her putative boss.

Trump hires bad and bad repels good: Trump's knowledge of the world is based on what he sees on tv. He picks people for superficial reasons all the while stupidly saying he hires the best people. See below for example:

Flynn’s instability was well known before Trump appointed him as NSA, Trump had advance warning not to Appoint him, he ignored it. Manafort’s shady history was detailed on Wikipedia before Trump hired him, Trump hired him anyway. As always, Trump is his own biggest enemy.

Flynn and Manafort were probably both recommended by Russia. |
