Not really. Have you been to her thread? It is an NPC forum. If you post analysis of events, they tell you that you talk too much. If you question some of Trump's policies, they crucify and ban you. I had the temerity to question the sanity of deficits and that was the beginning of the end. She will not tolerate introspection and she most certainly is not someone who listens to others very well.

I think if everyone keeps gravitating to the far right or the far left, then we are done as a nation. It's far better to be a centrist like me who is willing to listen to both sides and doesn't engage in the cult of personality, whomever the President is. I voted for Trump and I agree with most of his policies, but I am someone who believes the Austrian economic theories best explain the economy and that we cannot keep up this fiscal and monetary profligacy. If we do, then long term, our economy and prosperity are toast. I'll say that no matter who is President.

Having said that, I understand the dilemma. To get elected, the President needs the economy to stay good and the stock market to stay high. So the temptation is overwhelming to pressure the Fed to play ball. All Presidents have done that in the past. Obama won the election for a second term because of QE3. Had QE3 not come along, his poll numbers would not have bounced back from their decline right prior to QE3. So goes the economy, so goes the Presidency. It's almost a tautology in the US.
