i bought my 56th third a tick below 1...give me a few more weeks and i'll own the whole frigging company...:)

i really think though that this stock will be the speculative darling on the JSE when the gold market turns, simply for the reason that the choice of speculative marginal gold stocks has shrunk so dramatically via consolidation in recent years. another one that could generate some interest is PetMin...it's the former ConsModderfontein + Nigel + Grootvlei + a contract miner + a granite quarry + a 10% stake in a food processing operation to keep it above water while gold languishes.

the ConsModder, Grootvlei and Nigel mines all used to be listed separately...Harmony took over Consmodder and Grootvlei and later sold them to PetMin. these are all mines on the West Rand near Jo'burg, very old mines with mostly marginal deposits. i remember they always used to fly during gold price rallies...

unfortunately PetMin has no US listing...or maybe fortunately, otherwise i'd own that dog too...-g-

Western Areas is another one that always has the speculators drooling when gold runs...also no US listing, but i keep pestering them about it..
