I was discussing the Hotel shutdown with a my friend yesterday. He and his wife have stayed at both hotels in the past. Last visit their rented SUV was bashed in and emptied.

The streets were completely unsafe. They've written SF off their mainland vacation destinations.
Will 200 new hires in the SFPD change this?
