Just be direct on the pick up message: "Hi, this is Ish. My tailbone hurts. Tell my machine why this call is important in 5 seconds or less and I'll pick up the phone. Else, I'll hunt you down when I get better. And 'hunt' means crosshairs, not phone directory."

That should straighten things out pretty quickly. Nothing like getting to the point...
