There is not a great deal of difference in dying in Iraq and dying in Afghanistan. Our problem is that neither side sees the problem of the Muslims. If we cannot look at the fundamental difference of Islam and Democracy, we will have to keep killing ad nauseum. Plus the complete lack of empathy on both sides or the debate, like the debate about Viet nam just makes all of us fail to communicate and in the end like Viet nam we will end up defeated. Canada has not lost a lot of wars. Our Government and particularly the Liberal Party are now out to guarantee that the lives of the Soldiers that Paul Martin committed, will be wasted. It is all to easy to blame harper for the present fiasco, but this is a Liberal Mistake, and because the lives of Quebecers may be the next ones sacrificed, we may see Canada defeated, the lives so far spent wasted, and the divide between the ROC and Quebec made even wider as Seniors tell tales of how Quebecers did not volunteer in the same ratio as other Canadians and how mostly the price for saving France was paid in English Canadian blood. Now I do not know if that is true. I do know that it was the verbal history of the Second war as passed by many older English Canadians.
