Good morning Holly, This is my first post on this thread. I am a FP with several years of computer selling experience with a major computer reseller. My annual sales volume exceeds 5 million in PC Sales. I am in sales, not technical. However, I do feel I have some experience in what companies and individuals want in a computer.
The whole idea of the star screen is excellent. However, no one will make anything until the units ship in mass. I am not going to waist any of my resources until that happens. I already have my "spot" in the chain and can "wait til dark" for shipments to start and only be out my 60 bucks.
When shipments start, another issue will come up and that is supporting a down-line that has no computer experience. Who is the first person they will call when they can't find the "any key". The other issue is new competition that will definitely be out there during "97". Startronix will not be the only kid on the block and I am sure other MLM organizations could spring up. The key is flexibility. Be ready to move when needed. I don't know how many of us have a clear understanding of the power of the internet. I know I have a lot to learn. It seems the more I learn, the more I need to know.
The point I am trying to make is this is not a get rich quick deal. There is a possibility of some good income for both FP's and investors. However, patience and flexibility is very important until product is shipping in mass. Come Feb., if I am still on the sidelines, I will still only be out $60 and some time. If they start shipping, I might even get a few $100 checks. Small downside, reasonable upside.
