Weatherford buying Precision units

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Weatherford International Ltd. said Monday it would pay about $2.3 billion for Precision Drilling Corp.'s energy services and international contract drilling units, expanding Weatherford's land-rig operations in the Middle East.
