One way to determine the prospects of a business software product is by checking the help wanted ads. Check the NY Times for or Dejanews.com for Premenos' flagship product "Premenos" - lots of heads wanted, Then try "Templar", its 2 year old Internet EDI product. Zilch! Corporate MIS is not buying into Internet EDI very fast. This product is clearly not selling very well. If they break sales down on the annual report, I bet Premenos maintenance revenues exceed value of Templar sales. And I'm sure not going to be the guy to suggest that we hook up 30 M dollars of next day orders on a system that sometimes loses my e-mail just for a few thousand $ in savings. On the other hand, once corporate MIS is convinced of security and reliability of the Internet plus see other benefits as they come on stream, Premenos will be the big winner. But be ready to hang on for a while.
