PoliPundit.com » Bolton Update Dick Lugar says that he believes John Bolton’s nomination will clear the Foreign Relations Committee on a 10-8, party-line vote. Can you imagine that? Hell, in that event, all these weeks of liberal media/Moveon.org ranting and raving and teeth grinding essentially will turn out to have been for naught. Sacre bleu. On the other hand, I guess the Senate still could reject Bolton’s nomination. Which would allow President Bush to give him a recess appointment, and then either to re-nominate him, next session, or to nominate someone even more critical of the U.N.(ron).
