I used to work with a Canadian who had worked in downtown New Orleans on contract. When in New Orleans he wore a trenchcoat to work with not just two, but four guns in it -- two extras down low in case he had to dive down or something. Apparently it had something to do with the sinister-looking people lurking in alleyways all around there ready to ask for or demand money, maybe by force. Not very Canadian to be packing guns, but he may have had a more realistic view of the place and its dangers than Helen Hill. My only visit to New Orleans, I ate at a high class restaurant where just outside reportedly someone had been shot to death for his wallet the day before.
