You never explained how StockPoint "reflects the first 60,000 shares as buys".

I see nothing of the kind on the page that you pointed to. All I see is a conventional price and volume chart.

Even if StockPoint - or anybody else - could determine if particular orders were buys or sells by the MM (they can't) the answer to your question is simple:

"if the MMs don't carry inventory, where did the shares come from"

They shorted them.

MMs don't have the capital to carry large inventories of stock over-night. And, if they did so, they would be speculating, not making a market.
