Karen, I dont know why you are arguing with me. I THOUGHT you were saying gas prices are going up due to oil company GOUGING. I was saying thats not the case, its due to the law requiring ethanol (didnt remember the name at the time) requirement due to the new environmental law (incidentally, the companies COULD still use the old stuff if the new law had given them protection from lawsuits till there was enough ethanol but it doesnt). Of course we always have the supply problem due to switchover, maintenance and all mainly because we have A SHORTAGE of refining capacity in this country. All that you have posted seems to refute that there is any oil company gouging, and my point is only that when we do something for conservatism or ecology and not think it through well WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE pay the PRICE not the stupid Congresspeople. They get FREE. jdn
