To judge from the AMGdata figures, the incipient bear market will be held up next week. Just enough inflow to keep things level. But note that last week is revised downward, helping to explain this week's weakness. This correlation is never perfect, but it comes close to being a true sentiment indicator, showing where people actually put their money.

I am waiting for about three weeks in a row with a minus 3-6 billion figure to signal the early stages of panic. Of course, looking at these figures does not measure what CAUSES the panic, which could be all sorts of things.
