Dear D. - Thanks for your input about Pramlinitide's weight control result and its potential for type II patients. I also feel that the HDL/LDL ratio result is a positive for the outlook. The science behind this result may steer future developments unrelated to diabetes.
I'm wondering if approval is truly needed for Type II. MD's can use drugs off label, if so desired. With the weight control benefit, a higher HDL/LDL ratio, and 75% of people on the drug feeling it useful, wouldn't some MD's do that? Is there something different about diabetes that precludes this?
I have a hard time getting worked up about potential for rat model work that is at the early stage of orexin. I plan to worry about that in a decade or so.
On TA, I subscribe to the Worden Bros. service. They have 2 proprietary indicators that seem to have some value in assessing whether stocks are ready to move one way or the other. I've seen nothing in either of these recently to suggest anything other than
the trading range we're currently in. I tend to think we'll not see much movement until trial developments are clearer. As a long term investor, I don't get too concerned with background scatter. I fact, in cases like this, it's a positive for me as it allows additional accumulation at low prices.

Have a good weekend yourself,
Arnie
