Chic, I'm not the one to ask regarding splits. They're bullish, but really mean nothing to me. Although ... to be able to say I own THOUSANDS of shares of AMD might be pretty cool.

I don't think you can say anything under $200 would be a disappointment - based on your timing. The reality - we all know that if AMD continues to execute and garner more respect, we're looking at a $450 stock - but not for another couple of years, IMO. There are a lot of in-roads AMD has yet to exploit. OTOH, even at $450 AMD still has a market cap of only $65 billion, and after a 4-for-1 split could still be bringing in $3-$4/share!

I hope I'm wrong & you're right.
