LIAR. The Voter ID card idea is fascist and racist. It's an attempt to subvert democracy by minimizing the number of poor and minority voters. It is for the elite by the elite and in many cases will charge poor folks $50 to vote. You're also dead wrong about big city machines. Democratic big city machines are ancient history. There might be a little bit left in Chicago, but nowhere else and democrats do not need to rig elections in Chicago, they win every time by a huge margin. Where in any US city now do we have a corrupt machine which rigs elections? Nowhere. The only rigged elections we've seen are in Florida 2000 and Ohio 2004 by Karl Rove and the Bush campaign. And 100% of the irregularities in both those states benefited Bush and hurt his opponent, so we know it was all rigged. This is the problem with you rightwingers, you never look at your own crime in present reality, only at out-dated cliches, myths and legends. You still use the words "big city machines", "liberal" to describe everything left of Reagan. You refuse to see the rightwingers are the biggest deficit spenders and least competent managers ever. You believe the old lie of Reagan's that "government is the problem" (yes it's a problem when corrupt people run it). You believe the malarky that tax breaks are "your money" but the deficits are not "your debt", or that privatization and corporate deregulation doesn't cost you a lot more than you get in any tax breaks. You believe all the garbage they've been spoon-feeding you. Some of it may have been true 40 years ago but is certainly not now., But you keep believing in those myths. And look at the current recession we hgave now. This is your leaders doing. Where are the trillions they've mis-spent? All gone. Where are benefits from your tax dollars? Stolen. Where is Osama Bin Laden? Free. Where are oil prices? At record highs. Didn't you see this coming? I did.
