The logic works, Sylly, but you're starting with assumptions that are unfounded in any kind of objective reality.
First, you don't have margin numbers for the individual product lines at Apple, so that first statement is speculation only. Second, you don't have margin numbers for the 3GS, either. Third, the iPhone 4S is seeing unprecedented demand, with a large percentage of buyers choosing the highest-margin models.
