The new version hummvee does all that. It will probably be the answer, because we have the money invested in it.. The Israelis are using the German Dingo Armored Car. PICTURE strategypage.com I suspect that something like this, designed from the ground up, would be better. Hey, be first on your block with one of these! The problem is that these IED's using howitzer shells and the newer RPGs can defeat just about any armor out there. So you need tactics to defeat these weapons. I just found out the "achilles heel" in the combo ceramic/steel armor. When it is hit, it does the job, but the ceramic cracks. It then won't defeat a second hit, you need to replace it.
