KLP, Fox may feel that he has been betrayed, because there was supposed to be a softening of the situation of Mexicans coming into America illegally. Many families in Mexico depend on the money that illegal aliens are able to send them from their jobs here, and fear an economic decline, as pitiful as it already is, will cause extreme poverty for them.
I realize that there is merit in the fears of some Americans, that the illegals are taking too much money out of the country, but those illegal laborers perform a service that American workers consider themselves too lofty to do. Even so, I don't think that this nation should provide food stamps, or any other kind of welfare, bilingual schools, or anything else that takes away from our own economy, or customs. There are many crops that would not be harvested without these workers, but there should be limitations on what they can get off the dole, but remember that there are millions of American citizens that live on a collection of government services, and intentionally do not even look for a job, and are no asset to the nation. They are actually parasites that are sucking the blood of the nation, and are legal citizens with out pride enough to contribute even their labor for the good of this country. They are worse than the illegal aliens in my book. |
