Why open source may be doomed The SCO campaign against Linux is a mediocre attempt to gain publicity. Today SGI (which has a Unix System V license with source code access right) reported that maybe about 200 lines in Linux kernel 2.4.21 (of millions of source code lines) are derived from earlier Unix code.
