Red Cross Has 'Lost Its Way,' Study Says - June 14, 2005 - The New York Sun - NY Newspaper

<<<

WASHINGTON - A new study conducted for Republican senators alleges that the International Committee for the Red Cross has "lost its way" by abandoning its guiding principle of impartiality and is now working in "direct opposition to the advancement of U.S. interests."

No, the Red Cross hasn't "lost its way," it's found it. The problem is, the way it has found is that of Amnesty International.

I do wonder about this, though: all these do-gooder organizations live on donations, and all of them are experts at counting (and predicting) the take from the collection plates. Apparently anti-Americanism is better for their coffers than otherwise. Why is that? Do they see that Americans are so stupid and/or ignorant about their anti-American doings that donations from the US don't fall much, while flailing away at America raises their contributions from the usual suspects by a significant amount? In other words, a hate-America strategy makes good financial sense for them?
