FA6QCB CPU cooler (QC stands for "Quiet/Compact"): Equipped with a 60 mm conventional 12-Volt ball-bearing fan with reduced height of 10 mm. The resultant unit is 15 mm shorter than the FA6EXB ("compact" or at least "compacter") with noise level reduced to 26 dBA (i.e, quite quiet). Airflow is naturally reduced as well, to around the 12 CPM
level, giving a thermal performance of 0.65 C/W. Compared with the FAVK6B, the FA6QCB is a little bigger, better in performance and about equal in noise. Both products are high-quality and cost the same.

The FA80SCB is from AVC (their model EB025B12H rated at 3 Watts) and is designed specifically for exhaust ventilation. Through the use of a thermistor temperature-variable resistor in series with the fan motor, this fan has the lovely chararacteric of being virtually silent at a room temperature of 25 C (77 F) when the motor draws less than 70 mm of current (power output of only about 3/4 Watt), but if it is exhausing case air and the temperature of that air rises to temperatures in the 40-45 C (104-113 F) range, the fan motor speeds up and develops up to 3 Watts of power to really move that hot air out of the case. Of course, it makes a lot more noise when running full blast, but its advantage over the FA80B and all other conventional fans is that it doesn't intrude on your peace and quiet unless it needs to.
