Bell Microproducts' High-End Multimedia Selection Enhanced by New Nationwide Distribution Agreement with Chromatic Research Inc.
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 13, 1997-- Bell Microproducts Inc and Chromatic Research Inc. announced today an agreement to distribute Chromatic Research's Mpact(TM) Blazer multimedia PCI add-on boards nationally.
Mpact Blazer cards uses the supercomputing power of the Mpact media processor and a PC's own X86/MMX(TM) CPU to provide affordable consumer electronics-quality for advanced PC multimedia.
Chromatic Research's Mpact media processors add 2D and 3D graphics acceleration, MPEG, video, audio, fax/modem and telephony capabilities to PCI-based PCs running Windows 95(R). The Mpact Blazer cards are also DVD-, Videophone-, and home video editing-ready via software upgrades.
