The Gilded Turd was a Russian asset long before Putin's day. He took out full page ads back in 1987 in the NY Times, Wa Post, and Boston Globe on behalf of the USSR, attacking Reagan, NATO and other allies. The ads came immediately after The Turd had returned from a visit to the Soviet Union to meet with Gorbachev.
