As the president-elect said that America is not going to force its ideology on the foreigners, but will let them change on their own accord in their own sweet time. This was in ref. to Palestinians and I am sure it applies to chinese also. This information technology revolution will one day sweep across china. They at present produce illegal copies of music and movie CDS from the west and distribute them rather stealthily. There is a market for it and so also there is a market for democracy. The same way other changes will take place when they gather momentum. Another problem is the language. If only they knew English, the change will be faster. The old guard has to fade away or change their ways. The reason why there are more South Asians in US (IT) than Chinese is that their medium of instruction is English. If the Chinese were fluent in English, there is no way Indians would have been able to compete with them. They would have flooded the market.
