Shias and Sunnis kill each other. That is a tribal vendetta going back centuries. It does have to do with some crazy difference in religious beliefs, sort of like the Baptists hating the Methodists. But that was their problem not ours until Bush-Cheney blundered into Iraq without a plan and ignited a civil war which our troops are still caught in the middle of five years later even any real moves by Bush-Cheney to try and end it.
