Kahuna, Microsoft must continue to earn money at an accelerated pace to sustain the very high valuation on the stock price. I do believe that if they are broken into smaller companies, then they may very well begin losing money. Microsoft has survived because they have a niche. If you simply look at the quality, reliability, and interoperability of their products, you will find that there are many great alternatives. Microsoft rules the desktop, and that is the reason Microsoft has been so successful. If they lose that, they're in big trouble. Mike
