Sorry about being gone for a week. I just got back in town today (at SIGGRAPH in LA). These "opinion" type articles aren't much use. I really wish the journals/publications would get back to reporting fact. I won't be selling any stock on Monday, the new article adds nothing new or useful, as was the case of Reuters. These editors at Reuters and WSJ, while heads of major publication departments are proving to me that their reporting capability/quality is less useful than an open public discussion forum like SI. They are also demonstrating to me the unbelievable control/power of the news media to control what people think... The real exciting thing is that forums like this, which show what real opinion is, and from qualified people and many viewpoints may in the long run reduce the credibility/usefulness of major commercial publications. I am finding info here more useful than any of the major publications. Granted you have to know what/who to listen to and who not to. Of course I am starting to think Reuters and WSJ are the ones not to listen to, based on the usefulness of their recent reporting. Cheers! Kyle..
