Options have been around forever without inhibiting the earnings growth of gorilla stocks like CSCO, MSFT, and INTC. Qualcomm is on the verge of long term financial growth that would enable them to develop the same stock repurchase programs that other big cap growth stocks have used. Correction. Options have been prevalent mostly over the last 5 years when people were overlooking the various accounting tricks. By deluding yourself that those things are gonna happen again, you are behaving like some of the Pacific Islanders who still think the Americans are going to land again (as they did during WWII) and shower them with gifts, food, construction materials, medical care etc. etc.
