Do you see us going back to a gold standard? I follow the gold markets and the two main threads on Si at which writers appear to have a good grasp on what is happening regarding gold. My concern with Obama is that he will move to confiscate gold with his Executive Pen. Read that the chinese have opened machines up where the Chinese can turn their chinese currency into gold coins. Sorry no link------no idea of how gold the gold coins are. And, yes as 2 wage making people became the norm in families--------the inflation set in making it necessary for women to either work outside of the home or find a way to earn money while being at home. I have lost touch with one woman nearby who set up her business at home so she could be home with the children. She is now worth millions. Pursuing that thought---------I would like to see local governments relax their regulations against home businesses. There are many businesses that can be done at home by mothers or fathers who stay at home. And, yes there are some stay at home Dads.
