The Inspector General finds that an FBI agent committed a series of crimes including bribery. One of the charges is putting false info in a mortgage application.

DOJ response: "Prosecution was declined."

The Special Counsel investigated Michael Cohen for mortgage fraud and the DOJ prosecuted him for it.

Weird discrepancy! I can't figure out why there would be two different standards of justice here. Can anyone help me out?
