You mean only use limit orders to buy and only use market orders to sell?

Do you think you are really being a better trader by hoping for that last 1/8?

I trade high RS stocks and for 2 - 5% gain, whether it takes 1 day or 1 month. I take small positions in as many as 20 companies at a time.

My trading has improved and my commissions have been cut in half by using market orders.

If the spread is excessive, than I wouldn't buy the stock. The rule of thumb is if you are day or position trading stick with good volume - high liquidity stocks or be prepared to get stuck paying the spread.

EGRP just sucks, you have to compare apples to apples. Just because they screwed some traders that doesn't mean using market orders can't be used successfully.
