Atlin was an offshoot of the 1898 Kondike goldrush. There are also some folks poking around over to the west on Tagish Lake, but I hope they don't find much. Rather have 'em re-arranging gravel further down on the Yukon instead of despoiling the scenery in one of my favorite places.
