LIAR. The NY Times says the aides were convinced the relationship was "romantic". They were convinced. They knew. They were McCain's aides. You're calling them all liars? How the F would you know? Do you think McCain is some saint? He said it himself the other day "I AM NOT PERFECT". That is code to the prudes in the GOP and the same line Guiliani used.

Also, McCain is not exactly denying this. And he was totally aware of the article being prepared and refused to comment on it.
