Good point, al-len, shareholders get shafted at all levels of the market. But there's a number of crucial differences between this Amazon and Conseco;

1. Conseco doesn't, to my knowledge anyway, have touts on SI threads suckering the gullible into buying its paper.
2. You can find in thirty seconds recent audited financials for Conseco on Edgar.
3. Conseco seems to run their business more or less competently, and make money at it, thereby improving shareholder value.
