If you want the anti-inflammatory workings of aspirin, but not the unwanted side effects, try buying curcumin. It is derived from turmeric so you could just take that if you wanted to be a cheapskate. You get the added benefit that curcumin looks to be a preventative for colorectal cancer. Also, it is thought to be behind the ultra low incidence in India of Alzheimer's.

Curcumins also have anti-platelet properties so you get to have your cake and eat it too.

I've priced the curcumin and it's about $10/month buying online. That's buying in 60 cap amounts. Could prolly get it cheaper buying larger amounts.
